Since Google acquired Fitbit, I've noticed a significant drop in the quality of both the device and the app, which has made me consider switching to a different fitness tracker.
Battery Life: Previously, a single charge would last me a whole week. Now, I find myself needing to charge my Fitbit every 2-3 days. This decrease in battery efficiency is a major inconvenience.
App Interface: The new app design is a step back in terms of user friendliness. The sleep timeline, in particular, is extremely unintuitive. It's frustrating to navigate and less informative than before.
Payment Functionality: The transition to Google Pay has been the most problematic. I am unable to add my bank card to the system, which nullifies one of the key conveniences of having a Fitbit. This change has significantly diminished my overall satisfaction and utility from the device.
Overall, I am highly unsatisfied with the direction Fitbit has taken post-Google acquisition and am actively looking for alternatives. If you value a straightforward, user-friendly fitness tracker that integrates well with your financial services, you might want to look elsewhere.
