Preflight can be used to look up the METAR & TAF, NOTAMS, VOLMETS, delay codes and abbreviations. Calculating the fuel uplift, flight time, wind components or converting units was made easy and is conveniently added to the app as well. Need to decode a SNOWTAM? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Preflight was built by aviators, for aviators.

The main features and functionality:

AIRPORTS
View the details of over 5500 airports. Including data like the name, IATA & ICAO code, coordinates, elevation, number of runways, runway details, sunrise/sunset times and more.

METAR & TAF
Fast and easy access to worldwide weather reports. Including current weather (METAR) and forecasts (TAF). All updated in real time.

NOTAMS
Look up the NOTAMS for your desired airports. Represented in a clear and comprehensible overview.

VOLMETS
Worldwide VOLMET frequencies can easily be found by using the app.

UNIT CONVERSION
Convert any unit like lengths, weights, time, temperatures and volume with ease.

FUEL UPLIFT
Calculate the required fuel uplift in KG, LB, Liters, US Gallons or ImpG.

FLIGHT TIME
Enables you to quickly calculate the flight time. Adding additional legs to calculate a grand total is also possible. Calculating flight time was never this easy!

WIND COMPONENTS
Compute wind components in seconds. The result gives you the wind angle, crosswind and head/tail wind components.

DELAY CODES
We use them on a daily basis but now it’s finally easy to look them up. Internal, passenger/baggage, cargo, handling, technical, damage/failure, operation, weather, air traffic control & miscellaneous… it’s all in there.

DISTANCE
Obtain the distance between two airports. By entering the speed it will also provide the flight time and bearing information.

MAX DAILY FDP
Show the Flight Duty Period parameters by entering the start time and number of sectors.

SNOWTAM DECODER
Decode any SNOWTAM and see the result instantly.

ABBREVIATIONS
Aviation comes with an ever increasing amount of acronyms and abbreviations. Forgot one? We included over one thousand abbreviations in our database, just look them up.

MY NOTES
Add personal notes to the app so you can keep all of your aviation related details in one place.
