• Not as good as the original

  Let's start off with saying that I really love the Syberia games. I played them when I was a kid and I still enjoy them today. The iOS version, however, feels a little dumbed down compared to the original. In the past, you had to search every frame to find every clue and every object to be able to finish the game. In this version, every clickable is already shown on the screen, which makes it way to easy (and not fun to play). I understand this is due to the lack of a cursor, but I prefer the way the Broken Sword games are ported, with somewhat of a virtual cursor.
  Also, I like how the resolution of the characters is upped to the screen resolution, but what this actually does is pointing out that the lip-sync is worse than with the old pc-version (non-existent even). I think it would bring more life to the game if the characters weren't ventriloquists.
  I feel like there are some frames missing from this version as well, especially the panorama frames (like the one with the baker in Valedilene). I believed these to be very beautiful in the past and I hope these can be added.
  Last notes are on the movement of Kate. Her footsteps used to be based on the ground she walked on, but seem to sound the same on every type of surface now. Running is also horrible implemented. In the pc-version, she used to run/walk off-screen. Now she runs to the edge of the screen, stops and then the next frame loads.
  I really like that a game this great got a iOS-port. It is a shame that it seems like a job half done.

• Gaaf maar alleen eerste deel!

  Ook ik vind het een gaaf spel cq puzzel. Maar waar is het vervolg? Je hebt toegang tot maar een deel. Deel 2 zit er niet bij. En voor vijf euro toch een beetje karig!
